Leadership is not a role, its an example.

Most people confuse leadership with authority, and tend to be dictators in most of the organisations. But true leadership is to set an example and lead. The people should feel that they are moved by the work that you do, example you set for them so that they keep motivated towards the goal. But, that needs a strong thought of how leadership is to be done. Thinking you are in a senior position and now you can dictate everything is the end of leadership and is the begining of dictatorship. Leadership is about setting goals and achieving them together with your team or workforce. Its being the leader who shows the direction and when they feel stuck help them to overcome it.

The most succesful leaders are those, who become the backbone of the organisation by handling everything through their perseverance to lead and setting good examples for everyone. Doing things which are ethically right for the organisation making each employee understand the value of ethics in business world. If you force them to do things, they might use techniques which are not ethical and that is the reason you should never force anyone to do anything in your organisation. Its always better to set examples so that they can learn from it and implement that into their life.

This is a powerful exercise for anyone looking for a change in their organisation. Its important for anyone who wants to build a successful enterpirse and create extra ordinary results. The way you lead defines the way the organisation will grow, if you become a dicator, it is most likely that your organisation would fail. And if you lead with an example it is most likely that your organisaiton would grow tremendously.

Cheers
